A group of musical outlaws, this band of brothers (Alex Madsen, Danny Roy, Jason Nicholson, Denis Arsenault, Brock Gallant) have been blazing a trail across Canada since 2006.

Eastern Canada is not stereotypically known for its country music, but is home to many traditional Acadian, Celtic and Bluegrass artists. While the underground scene has spawned many punk, rock and metal acts, sitting somewhere in the middle between the old and the new is The Divorcees.

Sheer grit and determination helped The Divorcees survive multiple band member changes while working their way towards winning the 2008 East Coat Music Award for Country Recoding of the Year. With an "us against the world" attitude and fresh set of tires on the truck, the band forged a head like a country southern rock juggernaut, mowing down the prairies on the way to the great divide.

Last of the Free Men is the new record by The Divorcees. It took 14 days, 800 Beer, 24 Bottles of wine, 5 jugs of whiskey and full time chef to coax out the performance captured at the Bathouse studio on Lake Ontario, Canada. Producer Josh Finlayson (Skydiggers) guided each member and the group as a whole on a journey towards capturing the raw energy of the live show.

Moody and dark in places, light and fun in others, "Last of the Free Men" delivers an album in a world full of singles - many reasons to keep coming back to the well.

Armed with a new record and a full tank of gas The Divorcees are headed to your town, bound and determined to rock the foundation of what your understanding of country was, is, and can be.
